How it works
The journey of an email
Your domain's MX records point to Spamvor. Every incoming message therefore passes through the gateway, within seconds, before it is handed to your usual server (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Exchange or any other).

Reception
The message arrives at the Spamvor gateway instead of coming straight to you. The sender sees no difference.

Virus check
Attachments and content are scanned. An infected message is blocked and never reaches your mailbox.

Spam score
SpamAssassin runs hundreds of tests (reputation, content, links, SPF and DKIM authentication) and gives the message a score.

Decision
Low score: the message is delivered right away. High score: it is quarantined, and you will find it in your daily report.

The higher the score, the more the message looks like spam. The quarantine sorts each message into one of three levels.

The quarantine

Sign in to your quarantine to see the messages that were held, with their sender, subject and risk level. Four actions are available for each message.
- Deliver
The message is delivered to your inbox. Use this action for a legitimate email that was held by mistake. The filter learns that this kind of message is clean.
- Always allow
The message is delivered and its sender is added to your trusted senders. Their next emails will no longer go to quarantine.
- Report spam
The message is confirmed as spam and deleted. The filter uses it to recognise similar messages faster.
- Delete
The message is removed from the quarantine, with no other effect. Messages you don't handle are deleted automatically after a while anyway.

Could I lose an important email?
No. A doubtful message is not deleted: it goes to quarantine and appears in your daily report. One click on “Deliver” puts it in your inbox.
Do I need to change my mail system or install software?
No. Spamvor works in front of your current server. You keep using Outlook, Apple Mail, Gmail or any other software exactly as before.
How do I get to my quarantine?
From the link in your daily report, with your Spamvor login.
A sender I know keeps getting blocked. What should I do?
Open their latest message in the quarantine and click “Always allow”. Their next emails will be delivered to you directly.
How long do messages stay in quarantine?
Messages are kept for a limited time, then deleted automatically. Check your daily report so you don't miss anything.
